Muar is one of the ancient town, there is about 130 years of history, is also named as "Bandar Maharani". The meaning of Muar is river and with the pronounciation of muak and muar. Muak is also a Malay word which means rowing the boat till get bored ot it, in the hisotry there is a record of it. and for muar is actually an Indian language, which means crooked river. Maharani is actually queen, so you are stepping a queen town.
